What's Changing?
As we mark the anniversary of the new Sonesta Travel Pass™ we have some important program updates to share. Effective July 15, 2025, the program will remove the qualifying nights cap across all participating Sonesta brands and Sonesta ES Suites will shift to awarding five (5) points per $1 spent on qualifying room nights (still exclusive of taxes and other fees, where applicable), and we’ve updated the tier bonus multipliers starting with the Silver members.

Sonesta ES Suites will now award five (5) points per $1 spent on qualifying room nights (still exclusive of taxes and other fees, where applicable).
Tier Bonus Multipliers
Sonesta Travel Pass™ will revise the current tier bonus multipliers for Silver, Gold, and Platinum members to the following:
Silver – 25% bonus points on Qualified Room Nights
Gold – 50% bonus points on Qualified Room Nights
Platinum – 75% bonus points on Qualified Room Nights
Changes to Elite Night Cap
We removed the 5-night maximum credit per member per stay for qualifying room night credits from all participating Sonesta brands.
Stay with Sonesta and earn as many nights toward Sonesta Travel Pass elite tiers as you can!
Earning at Sonesta ES Suites
I have a stay that starts before the 15th and ends after the 15th. How many points will I earn for my stay?
- Subject to the current program terms and conditions, guests who book reservations before July 15, 2025 will earn 10 points per dollar spent (exclusive of taxes and fees, where applicable) for stays checking out before August 31, 2025.
Will this change affect how I earn Elite status?
- No, members achieve Elite status by accumulating points or Elite Qualifying Nights at participating hotels. While the points earned per dollar are changing at Sonesta ES Suites, members will continue to earn Elite Qualifying Nights toward Elite status, and the maximum number of nights credited per stay is also increasing.
Tier Bonus Multipliers
I have a stay that starts before July 15th and ends after the 15th. How many bonus points will I earn for my stay?
Guests who book reservations before July 15, 2025 will earn the following Tier Bonus Multipliers through August 31, 2025:
Silver – 50% bonus points on Qualified Room Nights
Gold – 75% bonus points on Qualified Room Nights
Platinum – 100% bonus points on Qualified Room Nights
Reservations made after July 15, 2025, will earn the following Tier Bonus Multipliers:
Silver – 25% bonus points on Qualified Room Nights
Gold – 50% bonus points on Qualified Room Nights
Platinum – 75% bonus points on Qualified Room Nights
Will this change affect how I earn Elite status?
- No, bonus points do not apply toward Elite status qualification.
Changes to Elite Night Cap
Will this change impact reservations I made before July 15, 2025?

- Yes, any stay with a checkout date on or after July 15th will have no limit on the number of nights earned per stay.
Will this change affect how I earn elite status?

- Members who stay more than five nights can reach Elite status faster since they will earn more Elite Qualifying Nights per stay.
